The Community Town Hall meetings this Wednesday September 7 are being held in the morning (9:30 - 11 am) and evening (6:30 - 8 pm) to make it easier for community members choose when to attend. We are holding it in a PUSD facility, (the Multi-Purpose Room Entrance 3 at Indian Hill Village, 1444 E. Holt Ave. Pomona 91767) which parents are familiar with and comfortable in, to make it easier for them to attend.
This meeting called "Progress Toward Peace" highlights the work Just Us 4 Youth is doing with LA County in Violence and Trauma Prevention. Co-Sponsors are LA County, PUSD and Unity Church. There will be table discussions around topics like "How can we provide safe passages for students to walk to school?" Also highlighted at this session are theJU4Y's Restorative Justice & Care Team with its Listening Circles and their PAC'D Program for Addictive Behaviors.
